Set Decision Maker (change selection)
Pre-conditions
- An administrator must have a scenario open that contains at least one inject (Add Inject to POD)
- The POD containing the inject must have at least two participants
- One of the POD participants is assigned as the inject's decision maker
- The POD participant currently set as decision maker must have the same scenario open
Steps
- In the browser showing the current decision maker's view, click the inject in the Events and To-dos list
- Make sure the Task tab is active
- The decision area of the Task tab is enabled, i.e. the user can enter and submit a decision
- In the browser showing the administrator user's view of the scenario, locate the inject and click the Decision Maker icon
- The Set Decision Maker dialog is displayed
- The list contains the usernames of all the users assigned to the POD
- Select the user (a different user) you want to assign as the inject's decision maker
- Click OK
- Switch to the browser showing the current decision maker's view.
- the decision area of the Task tab is disabled, i.e. the user can no longer enter a decision and a message is shown indicating that another user is responsible for entering this decision
- Log out and log in to the account of the new decision maker and enter the scenario.
Post-conditions
- the decision area of the Task tab is enabled, i.e. the user can now enter and submit a decision
Notes
- This test confirms that the decision making privilege is properly revoked in real time for the previous decision maker. This is done via a socket message. Due to issues with stale session data, it's a good idea to refresh the browser and check the decision maker state again.
- The test should also be conducted with the target decision maker open initially, to confirm that the decision making privilege is properly granted in real time. And again refresh the browser and re-check the decision maker state.
