New Scenario

Pre-conditions

Must be logged in (Admin Login)

Steps

1. Click Build->New Scenario
   • New Scenario dialog is displayed
   • Template list contains available templates
   • In Template list, (none) is selected by default
2. Enter a scenario name
3. Click Create

Post-conditions

• The resizable MSEL area is displayed
• The scenario name is displayed in the upper left hand corner The following buttons are now enabled:
  • Alerts
  • Go to Conference Room
• There is a Scenario Status beside scenario name and it is set to (CREATED)
• In the Build menu, the following items are enabled:
  • New Scenario (previously enabled)
  • Save Scenario as Template
  • Add POD
  • Add Column at End
  • Inject Library (previously enabled)
  • Resource Library (previously enabled)
  • Jump to Column
  • Scenario Settings
  • Start Scenario
• There are no PODs in the POD area (left side)
• There are no injects in the MSEL area (right side)
• The alerts dialog is empty

Exceptions

• Error message: Scenario name exists
• Error message: Scenario name is empty
• Scenario name contains special characters (SQL or UTF-8): SQL characters should be escaped in DB (and unescaped before display), UTF characters preserved.
